To decrease the number of spam and troll posts on the newsfeed, GW has changed its settings to only showing recent activities from friends or from anyone who shared their posts publicly. We want to make GW an enjoyable social network for everyone without the rude or inappropriate posts from trolls/spams/haters.

With that being said, if you are seeing only posts from your friends, that is the reason why. So make some friends and get connected! If you guys have any suggestions please leave the comment below so we can improve the quality of GW family. Thank you for understanding.

Set it back. Users can block and have the option in settings to only let their friends see what they post. This new change has a lot of users upset.

I mean, bruh, it kinda defeats what makes Gothwire fun to use.

I can appreciate the concern of trolls and spam and stuff, but all this has really done is made me use it less. There's not really much socialising done as a result. Like the main place you make friends is on the newsfeed. That's just my 2 pence though.

I agree with the gentlemen before me. I enjoy the friends I've made since the new changes, but being forced into a bubble, a mandatory echo chamber if you will, leaves something less to be desired. Bring back the free range posting and let those who are offended deal with others by blocking them or disabling feed posts.

Haha what the fuck this site has a forum as well, who knew?

Even pedojet ran VF better than this and he had crystal meth running through his veins.

I agree with everyone else here. Please consider setting it back.

    Excellent.

If I Have Blocked Some Insufferably-Horrid Poster, It Was For A Blessed Good Reason.

If Friends Of Mine Too Aren't Friends Of That Same Organism, *BETTER*.

    -_-

(GothWire, as I recall, was NOT as Despicably-Vile as it later became until AFTER the first wave of The VF Exodus, *I CERTAINLY NOTICED*.....though, most of these new VFers are actually Okay And Pretty Cool, actually. This New Change in the feed I personally indeed *do* find Most Acceptable And Definitely For The Better. It actually feels more like Back In The Day.)

    *******

Someone else (a refreshingly-smart/more profoundly-grounded friend, actually) recently posted that She Wished Blocking Was The Same Here As In FaceBook; meaning that when you BLOCK someone, then pretty much Their Profile Disappears From Everywhere Else.

Further, Since I Am Paying No Money At All Whatsoever For Interacting On GothWire, it would certainly be Pretentious of me To Demand/Expect Anything From The Administrators Here, Aye.

Respectfully I personally am not a fan of the "friends only" news feed and hope things change for the better.

This switch was a bad idea and will only mean less user engagement in the long run. For a site that is probably only able to stay online via selling user data, you can see why this is a bad thing.

tl;dr - Person who enjoys living in a bubble and echo chamber is happy to be living in a bubble/echo chamber.

You can set your feed to friends only and set your posts so only friends see them, you self-indulgent ninny. I agree the block function should work better, but nuking the site's best feature isn't the answer so you can suck your own dick on the feed, DF.

Pretty sure similar gratification can be achieved from Microsoft Word.

Admins should make it so DF can only see his own posts so the rest of us don't have to suffer his inane bullshit.

As a joke I did say just add everyone you see that recently logged in until everyone is added.....you might see 20 posts a day instead of 5.
